Barbarian

General

The iconic Barbarian class returns in Diablo Immortal with the same brute force we've slain demons with for years. Their ability to wipe out hordes of enemies with area-of-effect attacks makes them a great choice for leveling and farming. Let's dive deeper and see what makes them so powerful!

Skills

Note that the game is in Alpha. All information is subject to change and will be updated before release.

You can choose 1 Primary Attack and 4 skills to use at a time. Primary Attacks have no cooldown and generate resource to cast it's Ultimate ability. Skills automatically gain ranks as you level up and can be switched around anytime out of combat. Special endgame items called Charms add additional skill ranks that enhance their power. Attributes

There are 5 Primary Attributes in the game: Strength, Intelligence, Fortitude, Vitality and Willpower. All of them provide 1 Offense and Defense Rating for each point you have, so any attributes gained will always make you stronger. However they are not equally valued to the Barbarian as they also provide additional bonuses. Let's explore what those are so we know how to build our Barbarian correctly!

#1 Strength - Provides increased Damage. Nothing beats hitting harder, especially in a game without hardcore mode. This is the best stat a Barbarian can have.

#2 Fortitude - Provides increased Armor and Armor Penetration. Armor Penetration is mandatory in high-level content if you want to deal any amount of damage. This combined with the armor buff makes it a very strong choice for the Barbarian.

#3 Vitality - Provides Life. No one likes to die, so picking up Vitality isn't a bad choice at all.

#4 Willpower - Provides Potency and Resistance. These increase the duration of harmful effects you deal to enemies, and decreases the duration of harmful effects enemies deal to you. There is value in these stats, but because Barbarians primarily deal direct damage, the other stats above are better to have.

#5 Intelligence - Provides nothing additional beyond the 1 Offense and Defense Rating that the others also give. This is the worst stat for a Barbarian and should be replaced by anything else.

There are also Secondary and Additional Attributes that apply to all classes and are explained in this post. (Link the post)
